answers
before you arrive
Everything you need to know about visiting The Well — how to book, what to bring, and how membership works.
What should I bring and wear to my first visit?
Come in comfortable, breathable clothing you can move in, and bring a water bottle. For most classes you only need yourself — mats and props are provided. If you are booking the thermal area, bring a swimsuit and a towel. Arrive about ten minutes early so we can welcome you and show you around.
Where are you and where do I park?
For easiest access and secure parking, please park at Lumley House (177A Jan Smuts Avenue, Rosebank). Follow the signage to Nine Yards. The Well is located in Yard Eight (between Kumalo Turpin art gallery and Salvation Cafe).
How do I book a class or session?
All bookings are made through our booking page, which connects to our scheduling system. You can view the live timetable, browse classes, and reserve your spot in a few taps. Appointments such as massage and thermal sessions are booked the same way.
Do I need to be a member to visit?
No — you are welcome to visit without a membership. We offer drop-in sessions and class packages so you can come as often or as little as suits you. You will find all the options on our access page. Membership simply gives regular guests better value.
Can I freeze or cancel my membership?
Yes. Memberships can be frozen or cancelled in line with the terms of your plan. The current terms and notice periods are set out on our access page, or you can ask the team and we will walk you through it.
What is the difference between the pathways and a membership?
Pathways are journeys that guide what you do — they shape a flow of classes and treatments around how you want to feel, whether that is to reset, revitalise, or deepen. A membership is how you access it all: it is the plan that lets you book the sessions your pathway recommends. You can explore both on our access page.
Are there showers and facilities? What about the thermal area?
Yes — there are changing rooms and showers so you can arrive or carry on with your day without missing a beat. Our thermal area includes sauna, salt room, and cold immersion. Thermal sessions can be booked on their own or as part of a membership; details are on the access page.
Do you cater for beginners?
Absolutely. Whether you are completely new to movement or returning after a break, our classes are designed to meet you where you are. Let the instructor know it is your first time and they will guide you. If you are not sure where to start, our team can point you to the right class.
